Comstock Construction proudly served as the design-build contractor for the Väderstad North America Headquarters in Wahpeton, North Dakota, with Foss Architecture & Interiors as the project architect. Completed in August 2024, this impressive 35,786-square-foot commercial construction project represents a perfect balance of functionality, innovation, and cultural design influence. The new two-story structure was designed to support collaboration, productivity, and growth for Väderstad’s expanding North American operations.
Self-Performed Work and Quality Craftsmanship
A hallmark of this project was Comstock Construction’s ability to self-perform several critical scopes of work—ensuring control and quality, schedule alignment, and high safety standards from start to finish. Our team took pride in performing the following trades directly:

The Väderstad North America Headquarters also showcases a durable precast concrete and structural steel framework, designed for long-term performance and efficiency. Extensive use of curtain walls, glass partitions, and DIRTT wall systems creates transparency and allows natural light to flood the open office environment—enhancing productivity and comfort for employees.

Throughout the headquarters, natural wood accents and refined finishes pay homage to Väderstad’s Swedish heritage. The building includes training rooms, a full commercial kitchen, flexible work areas, and modern meeting spaces, all designed to support employee collaboration and growth.
