Project Description

Delagoon Park Campground Improvements

Comstock Construction’s Civil team partnered with the City of Fergus Falls to deliver a complete transformation of the Delagoon Park Campground through extensive earthwork and site development services.

Earthwork & Site Development

The project began with full-scale dirtwork operations, including clearing, excavating, and grading to reshape and level the campground area. Our crews prepared the subgrade for new utilities, building pads, and campsite layouts, ensuring a solid and durable foundation for all future improvements.

Utility Installation & Infrastructure

Once the site was prepared, we installed new water, sewer, and electrical utilities throughout the campground — modern infrastructure that had never existed at the original site. This included trenching, utility line installation, and connections designed to support RV campsites.

Campground Construction & Amenities

Once utilities were installed, crews completed:

  • Bathhouse facility featuring running water, showers, sinks, and flushing toilets.
  • 42 RV sites (10 with full-service sewer, water, and electric; 32 with water and electric)

  • 8 tent sites

Community Impact

The upgrades mark a major step forward from the former campground, which offered only 14 RV hookups and 22 tent sites with no plumbing or electric service. The expanded capacity and modern amenities now provide a safer, more convenient, and more enjoyable camping experience for families and visitors to Fergus Falls.
