Community Pool & Splash Pad Construction

The new Gwinner Aquatic Center replaces the community’s aging pool with a modern aquatic facility designed to serve residents and visitors for generations to come. Built for swimmers of all ages, the project provides a safe, accessible, and family-friendly destination for recreation, swimming lessons, and community gatherings.

Designed by Interstate Engineering, the new municipal aquatic center reflects the community’s vision for a modern recreational facility. Comstock Construction was proud to partner with Interstate Engineering and the Gwinner Park Board as the prime general contractor, coordinating every phase of construction from initial sitework through final completion. The result is a vibrant community asset that enhances quality of life while providing a long-lasting recreational destination for Gwinner and the surrounding area.

Modern Aquatic Center Features

The new facility was thoughtfully designed to provide recreation and accessibility for visitors of all ages. Key features include:

Construction Scope of Work

As the prime general contractor, Comstock Construction managed every phase of construction, from site preparation and underground utilities through construction of the swimming pool, splash pad, waterslide, bathhouse, mechanical building, concrete pool deck, and final site improvements. By coordinating each stage of the project alongside trusted trade partners, our team delivered a durable, high-quality community recreation facility built to serve Gwinner for decades.

Self-Performed Commercial and Civil Construction Work

To help maintain quality, schedule, and efficiency throughout construction, Comstock Construction self-performed several key portions of the project, including:

  • Earthwork and site grading
  • Concrete foundations and flatwork
  • Structural concrete work
  • Coordination of civil site improvements

The completed Gwinner Aquatic Center provides a welcoming place for families to gather, children to learn to swim, and the community to enjoy outdoor recreation for generations. As one of the region’s newest municipal aquatic facilities, it represents a lasting investment in the health, recreation, and quality of life of the Gwinner community.
